Dear SYNLawn,
On behalf of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Arizona, I wanted to write and thank your Southern Arizona office for its generous donation of SYNLawn for our Wish Child, Dawson Holbrook's backyard sanctuary wish during the summer of 2006. I would especially like to than Kevin Virginillo, who installed the SYNLawn himself and worked directly with the family to ensure they were happy with the product.
Dawson's wish was unique, both for me as a Wish Granter and for our chapter of the Foundation. I have no doubt that he and his family will enjoy the serene, scenic feel of their new backyard and will enjoy many happy memories without even leaving home.
The wish presentation was televised on Tucson's CBS affiliate KOLD-13 and it inspired local donors to call KOLD to donate to the Foundation raising a total of more than $7,000 for Make-a-Wish. As the average cost for us to grant a wish is just over $6,200, the KOLD donations were extremely helpful. The expected actual completion date for the backyard construction is in the next 1-2 weeks. At that time, we hope to have KOLD return to the home to film the family in their finished backyard. We will keep your office updated as to if and when an air date will be scheduled.
